5 Resources to get you from Python greenhorn to PRO 🔥
These resources will get you going with Python 🚀
Welcome to another article about getting into the coding game 👨🏽💻 I am happy that you found your way back to my channel. According to the Stackoverflow survey, Python is the most popular coding language in 2021. I am excited if this will change over time. However, learning Python might be a quite safe bet. Thus, let's have a look at what I have for you to get the coding game going ⚡️
YouTube ⚡️
I have prepared two channels that count as my favorites. Of course, there are so many more out there. A lot of new ones are just emerging - that's great! Knowledge should be free in my opinion. That's why I love YouTube and the great tutorials on this platform.
FreeCodeCamp ⬇️
The first YouTube channel is FreeCodeCamp. They also have a website - it really depends on which format you like better. Both are brilliant 🔥
Python Engineer ⬇️
In contrast to FreeCodeCamp, this channel offers Python content only. You can find everything about Python in really high quality! I am a big fan, honestly. This channel is a role model for where I want to be in a few years. It is not about the followers but my goal is to also reach a lot of people with my content and help as many people get into coding as possible 🔥
Websites ⚡️
There are also some websites that support interactive learning. Especially, as a beginner, you might not be familiar with all the different IDEs and which are the best choice for you. Anyway, you want to start - thus, a website where you can directly practice coding might be a good start.
W3schools ⬇️
This is exactly what I was just talking about. You can practice not only Python but also other coding languages. If you are a Data Scientist in progress you might also like the section about SQL (highly recommended).
GeeksforGeeks ⬇️
This is another website that is not interactive but offers a lot of stuff about Python. Since I started learning Python I have found a lot of tips and tricks on their website. Really glad I have found that platform. 🙏
Books ⚡️
Although I have no time to actually read I often hear that some people still like to learn things with books. For me, it's quite difficult to learn by reading because I have a quite tight schedule throughout the day. I consume knowledge either by listening or learning by doing. Even if I do not get everything about a topic I see how I can apply certain concepts in real life which directly establishes the required connections in my brain 🧠.
However, here is a book that I found online which has great recommendations.
Learning Python, 5th edition by Mark Lutz ⬇️
Whatever you see online about learning Python and what is the best way - You really need to find out yourself which medium fits best for you. The best medium for me was always learning with tutorials on YouTube. For you it might be an interactive website or a good book - Go and find out 🚀
That's it for today - Happy Coding and Studying 🔥
